Thank you for visiting this blog, dedicated to advocating for the child who is blind or visually impaired. I invite you to share this blog with others to encourage people to advocate for these children. I will be linking resources for families who have blind or visually impaired children, and will be happy to help with information and support.

I began this blog to advocate for children who are blind or visually impaired and are waiting for their families in China. "Theresa" just celebrated her 8th birthday! I was able to meet her, speak with her, and I even got to hear her sing a little song. She seems to be totally blind, and has wonderful language and understanding. She loves to sing and has the voice of a little angel. She is well take care of by a kind-hearted foster mother, and attends some type of school every day. Before I had the chance to publish this blog, I found out that 'Theresa's ' family has found her and she will be going home! I had nothing to do with her family finding her, but still feel so happy that they have!!! Here is a picture of this beautiful little girl!

Hannah Mae just celebrated her 8th Birthday. She has a diagnosis of Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. These pictures appear to be older, new pictures will be requested.

Holly DOB July 2007

This little angel was born with congenital cataracts. Sometimes during development, cataracts form in the eyes and obscure, or block the vision. If left untreated, vision will be lost entirely. Holly appears to have no vision by orphanage report.

Gary DOB 12/2006

What a cutie pie!!! Gary is listed as having 'weak vision' but with no definitive diagnosis. You can see him squinting in the pictures, and he appears to definitely have vision.
